Half or Full Day Rafting Trips
Whether you’re a local resident or spending your summer vacation in Southern Oregon we have the perfect day trip for you. Everyone can enjoy the beauty and excitement of the Rogue River. We have trips designed for the youngest and newest rafter, those who might be on the water for the first time, to those who want to get up close and personal with the whitewater.

These trips are run on the recreation section of the Rogue River and consists of a 7 mile half day and an 18 miles full day trip. You’ll experience an abundance of wild life and scenic beauty.
AM Half Day Trip - 9AM to Noon
This trip begins at Morrison’s Lodge where you will check in for a brief orientation and equipment fitting. We suggest you arrive by 8:45 am. By 9:00 am you’ll be in our shuttle van headed for Robertson Bridge put in and on the river soon after.
You’ll begin on mild water with plenty of time to get comfortable with our inflatable kayaks or just soak in the sun on the raft. Beautiful Hellgate Canyon, the movie stage for John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn in Rooster Cogburn is next on the agenda, followed by a couple of mild rapids. The canyon starts to narrow here and the scenery changes a bit. This covers only a few miles and you will arrive at the lodge by 12 noon.
Before you know it you’ll arrive at Morrison’s for a scrumptious lunch served on our deck over looking the river. You’ll have a chance to dry out and visit with your guide before you head to your next adventure.

PM Half Day Trip – Noon to 4 PM
This is the best float trip for those who only have a half day to spend. You will start your trip at Morrison’s Lodge. We suggest you arrive by 11:45 am.
You will begin your trip with lunch served on our deck overlooking the river. Your guide will be your host during lunch and will give you a brief orientation and equipment fitting before heading down to our personal launch area. You might spot our resident beaver in the pond as you head across stream to catch the current.
This trip promises some bigger rapids like Galice Chutes and Argo with a variety of smaller riffles sprinkled though the day. For the adventurous, try the challenge of our inflatable kayaks. Then you can boast that you’ve been white water kayaking in Oregon.
You may encounter an abundance of wildlife: eagles, osprey, great blue herons, turtles, deer, river otter and an occasional black bear.
We invite you to come early and enjoy our beautiful grounds. Be sure to bring along a camera!
FULL Day Trip – 9 AM to 4PM
Our full day trip is a combination of both half day trips. See above for a description. This trip is great for all types of adventurers. This is the way to experience Grants Pass white water rafting. See the descriptions above. We suggest you arrive by 8:45 am.

Sunday – Saturday: May 15th to September 30th
(Minimum number of 3 guests are needed to run a trip)
We guarantee your trip will happen without a hitch. All of our trips begin and end at Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge. Just drive up, park your vehicle and we’ll take care of the rest!

Your trip package includes the following:
- Professional, experienced and skilled guide
- The best available rafting equipment, including Coast Guard approved life jackets
- Use of splash jackets and inflatable kayaks, if desired
- A day sized dry bag for items you need access to during the day
- A fabulous lunch, prepared in the main kitchen and served on our deck
- Shuttle to or from Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge
- There are no additional charges or taxes to surprise you

Guide Gratuity
Tipping is appropriate and certainly appreciated by our guides. A customary guide tip on the Rogue River is between 10 to 20% of the trip price. As always, tipping is an option and should depend on your satisfaction with the trip.
We suggest you bring:
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses with a strap
- Hat
- Water bottle
- River sandals
We carry these items in our gift shop.
